Introduction: The design is based on a Persian Mythology, an ancient story of creation.The tree of life is a symbol of the tree of knowledge, connecting the heaven and underworld.The Evil God Ahriman, as the ancient story says, created a frog that is poisonous, which was sent to destroy the tree,so no other plant on earth would grow.As a reaction, the good God Ahura Mazda created two fish from the ocean to protect the tree. Two fish always looking at the evil frog waiting to attack in case the frog made a bad move.Two Gods coexisting, evil God Ahiram who is responsible for all evil and Ahura Mazda who is responsible for all good.
This design prototype is based on the local Shinhwa story in Qatar, creating the current huge original chandelier, which is the most symbolic project completed by MATTEO team in 2014. The giant chandelier is mainly made of stained glass and stainless steel, and the stainless steel pipe with a diameter of 100MM is bent and molded by numerical control equipment, and it is in the arc shape specified on the design drawings. The sides of each tube are manually perforated and the surface is decorated with shells, because it is a noble material, which is illuminated by internal lights to form a special lighting effect. Near the huge stainless steel shape, there are 12 giant stained glass birds (each with a width of about 1200MM) flying and staying, and six red glass lotus flowers grow at the bottom, symbolizing the existence of "the tree of life".
